The above daisy smocked top is really pretty and it’s a loose flowy blouse with pretty swiss dots up close. I love the vibrant color coupled with the sweet floral print. Update 7/7: I washed this top and the length didn’t shrink but the viscose material needs to be steamed out so that the fit is flowy before you can wear it again.

Modern Spring white peony & anemone wreathModSugarDesign Modern Spring white peony & anemone wreath

The floral wreath on the wall behind me is from ModSugarDesign and you can see a close up of it in the short clip I linked here. I ordered the 14″ wreath on May 25th and it arrived safely on June 9th. It was secured to the cardboard box with pipe cleaners. On a related note, floral wreaths make a great present and I gifted this 19″ floral wreath for my friend Annie which is a really beautiful option and I was so happy she loved it. (If you’re looking for unique presents this shop makes paper flowers and I’m fascinated by how real they seem.) I ended up getting a smaller Command hook to display the wreath since I didn’t like the look of the larger hook. I was nervous to remove the larger hook but pulling down on the tab removed it from the painted wall without any marks.

Rothy's The Point in EcruRothy’s The Point in Ecru | Click here to view the clip from my try on

I was excited about the new Ecru color and after seeing this very helpful post on the neutral color comparisons I ordered these flats. I recently sold The Mary Jane (review here) on Poshmark and I also had $40 in referral credits. I went up half a size for comfort but I was considering going up a full size. The point in the front is very narrow so I probably could have gone up a full size as well for extra wiggle room for the toes. I had previously tried on The Point in the Newbury Street store in the camel color but I didn’t like that color against my skin tone.

If you would like to make a purchase you can use my referral link here for $20 off your first Rothy’s order. I will also receive a $20 reward from them if you make your first purchase using my link.

Update 10/9/20: After wearing the flats a few times I feel like they’re still too narrow in the toe area. Perhaps I need to go up a full size in The Point. Every time I wear them I feel like my toes are  crammed against the seams of the pointed toe box which is not a pleasant feeling.

Update 12/13/20: I was able to stop by in store today to try on a few styles in different sizes and here are my brief thoughts on the sizing. The Sneaker runs true to size for me but I went up half a size for comfort since they have a slightly narrow fit. My feet swell so I wanted the extra room in the toe area. The Loafers have a narrow fit and they were still a bit snug when I went up half a size. I didn’t ask to try them on in a full size up for comparison. The Square flats fit similar to The Point and a full size up (size 8) was loose but not too loose that they’d fall off my feet. They were more comfortable than The Point due to the square toe box but the store didn’t carry any light neutral colors. I completely forgot to ask to try on The Point in a full size up since I’ve had them in my usual size 7 and a half size up (size 7.5) but both sizes are too snug on my slightly wider feet.

LOFT Pom Pom Straw Crossbody BagLOFT Pom Pom Straw Crossbody Bag (also available in red)

Click here to see the bag on me with the straps doubled (14″ strap drop) and click here to see the bag on me worn as a crossbody (24.5″ strap drop). The dimensions are 8″ x 4.5″ x 2″ and inside has one wall zipped pocket and one credit card slot. The bag is lined but the straw material is soft and lacks structure (the mailman shoved the package into our mailbox). It’s made of the same material as this pom pom straw circle crossbody bag from last year which I reviewed here. I use a mesh organizer and with my wallet and phone inside the bag looks a lot better full than when it’s empty.

LOFT Floral Smocked Tiered Flare Dress, size SPLOFT Floral Smocked Tiered Flare Dress, size SP | c/o Ann Taylor Liv Cork Block Heel Sandals (review here, leather version here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on

I have this dress in the wildflower print  in my preferred size XXS regular (review here). The smocked chest runs snug so I decided to try it in a size up and it’s a more comfortable fit. You may want to go up in size depending on the size of your bust and if you plan to wear or bra or not.

LOFT Pineapple Embroidered Riviera Shorts, size 0PLOFT Pineapple Embroidered Riviera Shorts, size 0P | Click here to view the clip from my try-on

These new chambray shorts are really cute and the embroidered pineapples are a really nice detail. My usual size 0 petite has a 30″ waist. The pineapples are a mix white and silver metallic threads for added interest.

LOFT Ottoman Tulip Back Top, size XSPLOFT Ottoman Tulip Back Top, size XSP | LOFT Pull On Wide Leg Pants in dark caper, size XSP (review of the black color here) | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on

This white top is a loose swingy fit and the tulip opening in the back isn’t too open and revealing. It’s not too sheer for a white top and I like the thin stripe texture.

I like these wide leg pull on pants so much I ordered them in all of the colors. I wear the black color at least twice in a week so I figured it would be good to have other colors on rotation. I’m still deciding on the vivid orange color since it’s a very bold color but my husband likes them. Ralphie‘s hair doesn’t stick to these pants too badly and the material is fairly wrinkle resistant and washes well on cold and hang dried. There have been a lot of deep discounts due to Covid-19 and the cheapest price I’ve seen the pants so far is for $20 in the petite sizing.

LOFT Cropped Cardigan Top, size XSPLOFT Cropped Cardigan Top, size XSP | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on

I had this outfit in mind when I ordered this olive cardigan and the olive wide leg pants. They’re different shades of olive but when worn together it looks really simple and chic. The cardigan is a looser fit and has a slight puff detail at the shoulders.

The olive pants also pair well with the shades of green in this vine cutout back peplum top that I got last year (review here).

LOFT Beach Gingham Twist Romper, size XXS regularLOFT Beach Gingham Twist Romper, size XXS regular | Click here to view the clip from my try-on

I was curious about this adorable gingham romper so I ordered it to try. It’s a high waisted romper so if you have a longer torso then you may find the rise to be uncomfortable. It’s a petite friendly fit and I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 106-108 pounds. The arm holes are generous but it would be a cute cover up with your swimsuit showing from the sides. I’m not sure I am brave enough to wear out anything with a cutout in the front but it’s a really cute romper.

LOFT Smocked Tiered Maxi Dress, size SPLOFT Smocked Tiered Maxi Dress, size SP | Ann Taylor Gingham Headband | Click here to view the clip from my try-on

I ordered this maxi dress in a size up but this dress runs more true to size so the smocked bodice is loose due to sizing up. The overall length in petites is very  long even with 2.25″ block heels on. The material is also thicker so it’s not very breathable for the summer.

Ralphie's New StepsPet Steps

Click here to view a cute clip of Ralphie refusing to use the steps. We did eventually get him to use the steps after giving him some treats. Sometimes he will use the steps without any fear and other times it’s like he’s never used them before– I hope that with time he will use the steps more on his own. The grip on the bottom of the steps is just okay and I usually check that it is flush against the sofa or the bed. I wonder if I should have gotten the four steps option to eliminate the gap between the steps and the top of the furniture.

Thanks for stopping by!

I love that Pom Pom crossbody on you! I generally don’t love this style or size purse, but it works so well with all of your outfits and instantly makes everything feel summer time!
