I was influenced by my friend Lilly yet again to try this pretty white dress. The petite sizes were sold out but my size popped back so I quickly ordered it last week. There’s no zipper but there is a keyhole opening in the back. The dress may be more difficult to pull on over your head if you have a larger chest. It’s a looser fit at the chest and armholes but otherwise my usual size fit well for a relaxed fit. The dress is fully lined and not see through and it’s made of organic cotton. Size 0 petite is 33″ at the chest and 40.25″ total length.
I’ve been really impressed with the styles at Banana Republic Factory and after some dangerous late night browsing I place another order for some new arrivals at great sale prices as seen here.

I liked the boxy t-shirt so much that I got it in all three colors/prints. The solid white color isn’t too sheer either. I ended up going down a size for a better fit. The measurements of size PXXS are as follows: 42″ chest, 40″ along the bottom hem and 20″ total length. I like that I can do a front tuck with it without the awkward bunching on the sides that I usually have with longer t-shirts.

I was so excited to find these joggers in petites so I ordered both the olive color and the black color to try. The olive color is lighter shade than I thought in person (click here to see a clip of the color in natural lighting while I was walking outside). The petite inseam is 25.75″ which is ankle length on me. The material is thin which makes them comfortable especially with the elastic waist for what remains of summer.

I thought that this jumpsuit looked really comfortable to wear for lounging around so I ordered it to try. I should have ordered it in petites too since the regular size is very loose on me all over but I just returned this size today. I reordered this jumpsuit in size XS petite in this floral print and the solid black color. Size XS is 52″ total length and for fit reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 108 pounds. Note that the belt sash is attached the the right side so it is not removable.

Topshop runs small and for this dress size 6 fits like a relaxed size 0/XS petite at LOFT and Ann Taylor. The measurements of size 6 is as follows: 13″ shoulders, 32″ chest, 13″ sleeve length, 32.5″ total length. This dress is really cute with the floral print and puffy sleeves but it runs two sizes smaller since the smocked detail at the chest is very snug. The dress is unlined but not sheer due to the textured material.

I was browsing LOFT’s website the other day when I spotted this new arrival. I ordered sizes XXS regular and XS petite to try. Update 8/23: I kept size XXS regular as seen but I just realized that I thought it was size XXS petite.

I spotted this beautiful peplum top in store and I had to try it on. As always Ann Taylor’s winter white is a shade of off white/ivory but this top is also available in a vintage dot blush and grey sapphire. After I tried on this top and the one below it was dropped into a locked bin to be quarantined for I believe 72 hours before they put it back on the sales floor.

This top was on my wish list so I was happy to see it in store to try-on. It’s currently sold out online but in case sizes pop back I figured I’d review it here anyway. Based on where it falls at my hips the length is longer than I prefer in the regular size but I cannot remember if it came in petites. The light blue color and the lace details on the sleeves are very pretty in person.

I saw this new accent chair in store today and it looked like a solid piece in person. It also comes in a solid oatmeal color as well as dark grey (with white stripes). We recently freed up space in our living room by getting rid of an old desk and my husband’s rolling office chair so we’re trying to decide what to put in its place. We could also leave the space open for Ralphie to roam around freely.
I also spotted the new faux pilea plant from the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection and it was really small in person. Some of the leaves are yellow so it looks like a tiny, unhealthy pilea plant. On a related note, my real pilea plant I got from Trader Joe’s isn’t doing so well but I hope to move the babies to another pot.
I came across this glass measuring cup and I love the weight and the blue lettering. I’ve had this plastic measuring cup for many years but it’s become badly discolored from all the tea since I’ve been making bubble tea at home a lot.
I was passing by the shoe department at Nordstrom when I spotted these espadrilles. The cork and paint splattered detail is really cute and I wish they were marked down (not like I need any more shoes). However, I’ve been trying to be better about not adding too many seasonal items since I’m in the process of doing a closet clean out on Poshmark.
I was working on Friday when my husband and I heard a crash in our condo. Before we moved in a contractor had helped to put up a half rack for me on my side of the walk-in closet but I hung way too much on it and as a result it broke. I noticed it was secured with some nails and screws that were shorter but I ultimately blame myself for overloading it with too much stuff. There’s nothing quite like losing some precious hanging space to force me to get rid of things I like but just haven’t reached for.
Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific Wicker & Mesh Tote
This unique colorful tote caught my eye on the table. The one on display was in good condition. I am skeptical of how the mesh was attached to the straw portion so it’s more of a small/medium tote that you shouldn’t overload because it might compromise the stitches that hold the two different material together.
