I saw this blouse firsthand in store before I ordered it online as soon as I saw that it was on sale. My usual size XXS regular is a relaxed fit and I love the blouse styled with off white jeans for a tonal look. If I had to nitpick the cuffs and sleeves are looser than usual. I appreciate the fact that this blouse includes a layering cami with adjustable straps. Inside each shoulder is a snap button to keep the straps in place which is another thoughtful design feature that I haven’t seen in quite some time.

Click here to see a close up of the polka dot print. I thought this polka dot print dress was so sweet. It runs true to size since I ordered size XXSP when it was on sale a few weeks ago but sizes were limited at the time. Unfortunately, it was too snug through the shoulders, chest and arm holes so I would need my usual size XSP for the best fit. The body of the dress is very loose fitting so you may want to wear it belted to give it some waist definition. The darker color and print makes this dress a great piece to wear now and later into the fall. It also comes in a solid fresh plum color but the reviews on this colorway are not positive.

I previously tried on this peplum top in size XS regular and I ordered my usual size XS petite to try. Unfortunately the petite size was too boxy and loose. The bust darts were also too far apart/off to the sides. I did not notice the bust dart issue in the regular size but the petite size was a bizarre fit due to the odd bust dart placement.

I reach for these wide leg pull on pants often and I’ve been curious about the regular inseam so I finally ordered them in size XXS regular. I prefer the ankle skimming 25.5″ inseam of the regular size and I noticed they’re available in a few new colors for fall! It’s difficult to find a pair of black pants where Ralphie‘s hair doesn’t stick to it like crazy and I like how you can easily dress them up or down. I’m waiting for a better sale to get a new color and I may list the petite sizes on Poshmark (I have both black and olive in XS petite) now that I know I prefer the regular inseam.

On a related note I also got these comfy tie waist stretch pull on shorts on major sale in black in my usual size XSP and I will share an update in an upcoming post.

I thought this maxi dress was pretty with the ruffle sleeves and asymmetrical hem. I ordered the red and navy colors to try and I prefer the navy color since the red is really bold. The removable sash is long so that you can tie a nice bow. My usual size XSP was a generous fit so I tried re-ordering the dress in size XXSP but the arm holes are still larger thank I prefer. As much as I love the look of this dress I do not like my bra to show on the sides so I will likely pass on this dress since it shows too much armpit. For reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 106-108 pounds.

I thought that this simple black dress would be an easy throw on dress. Size XXSP is still an oversized fit even though I sized down by one size. I still need to steam the wrinkles out so that I can decide if it’s a keeper. If the wrinkles are stubborn to steam out then I know that the item is prone to wrinkling so I will report back on this point. Note that you can see the side of your bra when you lift up your arms through the looser/bigger sleeves.

Lastly, I bought this pajama set when it was on sale for $31.80 (60% off). I’m not sure if it was ever offered in size my preferred size XXS but size XS is a bit oversized on me but I love the bold floral print. I still wear my two butterfly print pajama sets from two years ago and those sets were offered in size XXS. This set is currently sold out but if you love pretty pajamas as much as I do then I would keep an eye for pop ups in case your size is returned/restocked online.

SALE ALERT

I practiced a little self-restraint and so far I only ordered the Newbury Blazer in Fringe Tweed blazer to try for 70% off one full-price item (discount reflected at checkout, valid 9/7 only) and 60% off your purchase plus free shipping at Ann Taylor. Use code LABORDAY. Sale ends 9/9 at 3AM ET. Honestly I probably shouldn’t have ordered the blazer since I have nowhere to wear it but I love white blazers and I have to satisfy my curiosity. I’m curious to see what the fall line will bring but when I checked The Preview there are still more dressier items than there are comfy casual options for working from home.

Thanks for stopping by!
