Ann Taylor Easy V-Neck Sweater

Ann Taylor Organza Bow Barrette

I’m back with a few new blog posts today (this is the fourth post I’ve hit publish on) since I’ve been heads down for work. In typical Jess fashion, I would normally jumble a bunch of random reviews into a single long post but I feel like some of my reviews get lost in the shuffle. I’ve decided to trying something new and I also have a week of staycation to look forward to this week. I’ve been with my organization for over 15 years and I need to take off one week every month through the end of December in order to use up the paid time off that I can’t carry over to next fiscal year. Today one of my colleagues told me that I did not look like I was old enough to be with the company for that long- I’ll just take that as a compliment. Anyway I hope to be a bit more active on here with more bit sized posts which would be more manageable since it’s the busy season at work.

I like how effortless this v-neck sweater looked so I ordered it in both colors and two sizes to try. I also love this organza bow barrette as featured on Ann Taylor’s Instagram here. Click here to see a short clip for a close up of the pretty bow (my hair is getting so long now since I still haven’t had a haircut since March).

It’s probably no surprise but I ended up keeping both colors and sizes of the sweater. The black color in size XXS petite fits me best but I love white sweaters so I kept the white one too even though it’s very wide on me. I love the modest v-neck and the slits on the side allow the sweater to drape nicely and it also makes it easy to layer underneath without feeling bulky.

DECOR: Exact mirror from T.J. Maxx is the same as this for a fraction of the price | Stripe Pillow | Paisley Pillow | Framed Watercolor Blue Abstracts (details here) | Picture Ledge with mounting strips (I used 3 but it’s most cost effective to buy one large picture ledge from IKEA)
