The chairs and stools were on my wish list for a long time and they were a splurge when we moved to our current condo. It was hard to decide between the different color choices but we went with fog/white. Last year I purchased the chairs in December for 25% off but the shipping fees were $69 (this came out to $203.24 per chair if I add the shipping cost) so this year’s offer ($198.40) is a bit better due to the free shipping offer. It also appears that the shipping fees have increased this year since I noticed that the shipping fee appears to be $89 for 4 chairs.
The chairs arrived two chairs per tall box and they were each encased in a loose plastic bag with the legs protected. Considering the price I wish they had used more padding inside to prevent the chairs from bumping around within the box in transit. The frame is bent and shapped out of rattan so each chair and stool is unique as seen here. I thought the material would appear a bit smoother but I like the overall look.
The chairs and stools are very sturdy and comfortable to sit in even for my husband who is 220 pounds. He is sensitive of his weight so he tries to rotate the chairs from time to time. Here is a photo of the chair that my husband has sat in the most and you can see a slight indentation in the middle of the seat but the woven plastic is still very secure and it has not loosened/unraveled anywhere. In comparison here is a chair which hasn’t had a lot of seat time.

The counter stools I purchased on promotion for $198 per stool back in February and the shipping fee was $39 at the time. I noticed that the shipping fee is now $49 for two stools this year. The 26″ seat height works well for our 40″ granite countertop which we bumped out (refer to the before and after photos of our slight condo renovation here). I’m 5’2.5″ so the seat height is comfortable for eating a quick meal but when I tried to work from home at the counter it wasn’t a comfortable position for my wrists when typing on the laptop all day.

The 26″ seat height makes the stool a comfortable c-table as pictured above. The seat height for our sofa (from 2012/2013 Macy’s) is about 20 inches.

When I’m standing the counter stools the same height as my rear so I can easily sit down without having to awkwardly scoot up.
Lastly, I spilled soy sauce on one of the chairs and it was a pain to get out since the dark liquid seeped between the woven material. If you are accident-prone then this may be something to note but if you live in a house then you can more easily take the chair out to hose it down and then dry it off.
If you’re looking for the same style at a better price then T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Homegoods and HomeSense often have similar chairs by Elle Decor, Tommy Hilifiger and other brands for less. For example, T.J. Maxx often carries a set of 2 bistro counter stools for $199.99 and Marshalls had a set of 2 bistro chairs for $199.99 online and they sell out quickly.
