Rachel Zoe Cowl Lounge Hoodie, size S | LOFT Seamed Ponte Leggings, size XSP (review here) | Madden Girl Lace Up Suede Star Sneakers (similar here and here) | Opalhouse Stoneware Camel Mug
I’m back with a few reviews of some recent purchases while watching Get Organized with The Home Edit on Netflix as I slowly work on this post. My husband is watching the first few episodes to get caught up. He’s the one that told me that they had some products for sale on The Container Store so I ordered this clear rolling cart to try after signing up for another “new account” to save 15%. I plan to use the cart to put our printer (inspiration from their Instagram here).
Reverting back to the first outfit, I ordered this grey hoodie which reminds me of a Lou & Grey piece. I took a chance and ordered it in size S and it’s a relaxed fit on me but it doesn’t look sloppy.

I’ve been eyeing these star sneakers and I finally ordered them when I had enough for the minimum free shipping. Many sizes are now sold out online (currently sizes 9-11 are available) but hopefully you can find the sneakers in stores at Marshalls, T.J. Maxx or Homegoods. When I ordered them sizes 6 and up were available so I don’t know if they were offered in smaller sizes. The laces came tied in such a way that you could just slip your foot into the sneakers but that fit only works if you have really wide feet. I ended up tightening the laces and undoing one row of the laces in order to tie a decent bow since the shoe laces are short.

Sam Edelman Cargo Puffer, size XS | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
I recently got this puffer coat from Marshalls but it quickly sold out when it went on sale for $59. I was confused when it shipped because “down fill Amazon coat” showed up as the line item on the shipment notification email as well as the packing slip. When I compared this coat to the online photos of the Amazon coat it does seem like Sam Edelman put their logo/brand on the same coat as the popular Orolay thickened down jacket on Amazon (also known as “The Coat”). I noticed that “The Coat” was on sale earlier this week for $89 but it has since gone back to it’s regular price of $149.99 with a $10-$20 off coupon depending on the color.
Size XS of the Sam Edelman coat is a very oversized fit on me and I wish they offered the coat in size XXS since I would have preferred a better fit through the shoulders. I kept it to wear while walking Ralphie since February is brutally cold and windy in the Boston area. Update 2/4: I do not like how loose size XS is on me so I ordered size XXS in the Orolay thickened down jacket to try.
Goodthreads Fleece Long Sleeve Crewneck Peplum Sweatshirt, size XS | Opalhouse Stoneware Peacock Mug | Similar slippers linked here | Click here view the clip from my try-on
I love the funfetti flecks of this sweatshirt and I got the peplum version above as well as the ruffle shoulder version below. The peplum version is a very loose boxy fit so you may want to size down for a better fit but the ruffle shoulder version runs true to size. Both have washed well on cold and line dried and I have been wearing them on repeat.
I loved these cute and sturdy mugs and using them forces me to get up to refill my water throughout the work day. See the peacock mug here and the llama mug here (they called it a camel but it looks like a llama to me).

Threshold designed with Studio McGee Rattan Turntum Weave Basket
I was browsing the Threshold designed with Studio McGee new arrivals and this new basket caught my eye. The texture is a bit much but it’s lightweight, a generous size for the random magazines and paperwork that I prefer to be out of sight and it fits perfectly underneath our coffee table (as seen here). The basket is large enough to fit a throw and one throw pillow (as seen here) or two throw pillows as shown below. I may need to try a non-glossy light wood stain that one of the reviewers mentioned so that it blends in better with the wood for our coffee table. Note that these baskets can be uneven on the bottom so you may want to check them out in store or order more than one so that you have a better chance of receiving/selecting a basket that doesn’t have any defects.

I also ordered this 9″ x 16″ tapered oval seagrass basket which I wanted to use for putting away the throw when it’s not being used since I can never seem drape it elegantly across the sofa but the basket I received was a bit lopsided. I went to Target this past weekend but all the baskets in store were in worse shape so the quality was not worth the price. The smaller 6″ x 13″ size basket didn’t have the same issue with the shape and structure but it’s too small for what I wanted to use it for. I also didn’t like how the delicate material broke off leaving little bits of the material on the throw so I returned the basket.
Threshold 13″ Fabric Cube Storage Bin Soft Blue Floral Pattern
Lastly, I picked up two of these floral print 13″x13″ storage cube bins and I love how spacious they are as a catchall for the things I keep out of sight (as seen here). It fits perfectly in the Warwick cabinet as pictured above. Love this cobalt blue and white print as well.
Thanks for stopping by!
