I received a few of my #nsale items so far and I hope that the rest of my order should arrive on Wednesday (July 28th) which is coincidentally the first day of Public Access. This simple mini backpack (offered in black, steel grey and navy blue) is currently sold out online but it was at the top of my wish list. Prior to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I had been considering the Polene Numero Un Mini backpack in taupe. I got this backpack for $67.46 after using a $10 Nordstrom note. I also found a similar one in navy here via Nordstrom Rack which has 59 online reviews in case you want read the reviews to see how others feel about the mini size. If you are considering this backpack hopefully it will pop-up as people make returns.

Since receiving it last week I’ve carried the mini backpack a few times on my walks with Ralphie in order to test it out. I used my steamer to help remove the creases from the canvas material since the backpack arrives folded. The excess ends of the straps are very long and I wish there was a way to tuck them away neatly. The buckles on the straps dig into my arm pits if I’m carrying Ralphie in my arms when he gets tired. I would have preferred if it came with two zipper pulls so that you could have the option of opening the bag from either side. The snap button on the leather flap is a little awkward to fasten (a magnetic closure would have been preferable) but I like how lightweight the backpack is and it fits all of my essentials despite the mini size (8″ height, 7″ width, 4″ depth). It is smaller than the normal Le Pliage backpack which retails for $125 (available here for $89.99). Note that you can often find Longchamp bags at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls for less such as this large tote for $99.99, this small tote for $89.99 and this yellow backback for $99.99.

The interior of the mini backpack is one large open compartment but there is a large flat pocket against the front wall and another large flat pocket on the back wall of the bag. I keep my 6″ iPhone 12 in the back pocket and I keep my keys in the front pocket so that I’m not fishing for them.

This olive cardigan is a good neutral to transition from late summer to fall. Size XXS is an oversized fit on me but it doesn’t look sloppy and the material doesn’t feel itchy.

I was able to order this sweater separate from my first order when my size popped back. It’s a loose swingy fit with a notch on the sides for a flattering hi-lo hem. It reminds me of a LOFT sweater.

I spotted this dress (it also comes in white) and I ordered it to try since I love the swiss dot texture. It’s $45 at full retail and not part of the anniversary sale. It’s a nightgown but it’s fully lined so it’s not to sheer if you wanted to wear it out as a regular dress. The plastic ring the connects the adjustable straps in the back is a bit larger and oblong so they move around as seen here. I didn’t love the dress on me so it’s going back but I think it would look better on someone a little taller or with a longer torso. For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 113 pounds.
