White Swiss Dot Dress, size S | Zara Pom Pom Straw Bag (old favorite) | Nine West Ieni Flat Slide Sandals (review here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
We just came back from a short weekend trip to NJ to celebrate my husband’s dad’s birthday. We’re on vacation this week and we’re home earlier than planned since Ralphie wasn’t adjusting well. He refused to eat normally and he threw up twice on Sunday morning due to an empty belly until we got back to the comfort of our own home. It’s been a long time since we traveled and we were very worried but he is back to his usual self today (eating, sleeping, playing and going to the bathroom normally).
I loved the above swiss dot white dress when I saw it on my lovely friend Annie. I shared it on Instagram stories over a week ago and I haven’t seen that many people swipe up for an item as much as this dress in a very long time. I noticed they’re restocking some colors soon and I have my eye on the navy color. The dress is lined but nude garments are recommended. The dress runs smaller since since size S fits more like size XS. Size S has a 26″ waist where the stretchy smocked portion on top ends. For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 113 pounds. I wore the dress on a hazy 90 degree day as seen here and I didn’t feel too hot and sticky. Update 8/29: Click here to view the navy color on me in size S.

I previously ordered these shorts in size XXS regular in black in this post but it was too loose all over. The petite size fits me well but I wore it last week and the material wrinkles badly throughout the day so I regret keeping them. They’d be perfect if they didn’t wrinkle so much.
LOFT Firework Tiered Square Neck Midi Dress, size XSP | Zara bag (old favorite) | Rothy’s The Hemp Knot Sandals (review here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
This dress is very loose and shapeless but I liked the print so I ordered it to try. The back has an elastic as seen here otherwise the chest would be too tight. The thicker straps for the petite size allow you to wear a regular bra. However, the straps are a bit too short in petites as seen here so it gives me armpit bulge.
LOFT Striped Bow Strap Pajama Romper, size XXS | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
This is a really cute romper but the top is a bit loose/open on me. My usual size fits me well but I wish the material was softer since it was labelled as pajamas on their website.
LOFT Smocked Square Neck Midi Dress, size XSP | Rothy’s The Knot in sand dollar | Click here to view the clip form my try-on
The lace on this dress is really pretty but the snug elastic at the bust made the cups of my bra bunch up in front. I’m small chested and I felt that the dress runs smaller at the bust. The dress is lightly lined as seen here so the correct nude undergarments are a must.
I also received these Rothy’s The Knot sandals I ordered in my usual size when they were on sale for $55 as a part of their Archive Event. Unlike the hemp version I reviewed here the material of the solid sand dollar version’s front band is a little bit more snug and my feet keep slipping out. My little sister also got the Knot sandals on during the sale and she said that they were not very comfortable for her flat feet either. The placement of the bow closer to the front of the sandal makes it harder to walk in and as a result my arch feels tired from just a short walk around the block. They’re pretty sandals but not very comfortable to walk in.

The eyelet detail on this dress is really pretty. I wanted to love this dress (it’s fully lined) but there was too much fabric at the waist just above the elastic wasithand as seen here and here.
Ann Taylor Polka Dot Tie Back Flounce Shift Dress, size XSP | Zara Bag (old favorite) | The Drop Women’s Monika Flat H-Band Slide Sandal (review of the white and cognac color here) | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
I like the loose and flowy fit of this adorable polka dot dress and it’s just as pictured online. I cut off the stringy ties in the back since the dress doesn’t really need them. It’s a thin, unlined dress that’s perfect for the hot summer heat wave and I wore it during the weekend as seen here since the darker print helps to hide any wrinkles. Note that it’s longer in the back than the front.
I was excited to finally get these sandals in the raffia version since my size came back in stock. I didn’t like the white and cognac color on me which I had previously reviewed here. The sole is padded so the sandals are very comfortable and easy to walk in.
Ann Taylor Striped Linen Blend Cardigan, size XSP | LOFT Pull On Wide Leg Pants, size XXS regular (old favorites) | LOFT Criss Cross Slingback Sandals (0ld favorites) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
This is a nice lightweight cardigan but it’s a loose swingy fit in my usual size and the sleeves are a little longer.

I thought that the eyelet ruffle on this top was really cute but the material is very sheer. My usual size runs big and the arm holes are generous so I wish I had sized down but I’m stuck with this size since it was on final sale.

I’d been eyeing this white blouse for a while and I finally ordered it on sale for $15. It’s very wide, boxy and sheer through the body where it’s unlined so it would be best worn tucked into pants and skirts. I don’t love it on me so I plan to return it.
Zara Denim Pinafore Dress, size S | J.Crew Oversized Ruffle-Collar Shirt in Stripe, size 00 (review here) | Zara bag (old favorite) | Rothy’s The Sneaker in sand (review here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
I really like the idea of an overall dress and I’ve been looking for one even though I haven’t worn overalls since middle school. Size S runs small at the chest and even with the straps fully extended the length was a bit too short for my preference.
Thanks for stopping by!
