I ordered this jacket in the vintage pine color after trying on the black color in store when it was on sale last week (with the stackable cardmember appreciation month code CARDLOVE it was $71.04 after discounts). Size XXS regular is oversized so it’s perfect for layering but I cannot size down since the sleeves on J.Crew outerwear are always too short for me in petites. I like the slightly longer length (mid thigh) compared to the perfect lightweight jacket (last seen here, review here) but I did not like the vintage pine color in person especially in good lighting. I prefer the jacket in black but I don’t really need another black jacket. I was also hoping for a darker/richer green color as pictured online but it’s a faded pine color with a hint of blue tones. The metal clasps are easy to undo so they’re not too fussy and the zipper was smooth. The online reviews also mentioned that the jacket is not waterproof so for now I will stick to the Uniqlo Blocktech coat I reviewed here. The hood was also short so it will not cover your face and it is likely to be blown off of your head on a windy day.
The measurements of size XXS regular are as follows: 16″ shoulders, 40″ chest, 38″ at the waist (where it can be cinched in), 44″ sweep along the bottom hem and 32.5″ total length. For fit reference I”m 5′ 2.5″ and currently between 114-116 pounds.
