Sam Edelman Loraine Loafer in saddle
I recently got these chic loafers in the saddle color after seeing them on my friend Lilly (love her effortless classic style). A lot of online reviews suggested sizing down so I used Prime Wardrobe to try them on in two sizes (I really should use that service more often). I ordered size 6.5 and size 7 but I kept them in my usual size 7. The length of the shoe runs longer in the front but I couldn’t easily slip my feet into the smaller size. The leather of the saddle color feels stiffer than the black color (shown further below) which felt looser on the sides of my feet. However, if you have narrow feet or thin ankles then you should try 1/2 a size down to prevent the back of your heels from slipping out of the shoe.

I like the simplicity of this short fleece lined sherpa jacket. It’s a relaxed boxy fit in my usual size and the body and pockets are lined in a soft fleece. The material kept me warm for temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s even though it’s a light jacket.

I love a good white top and the material for this one isn’t see through. The side-seam pockets are cute. Size PP is a loose boxy fit on me. I found it for $39.99 (and I used my husband’s Friends & Family TJX discount) but it retailed for $178.
Going back to these classic loafers – I also purchased them in black after seeing them on @staceybowie_. After these loafers joined my shoe collection I quickly realized that Rakela and other minimalist style bloggers have been wearing and styling them for a long time in multiple colors (I’m also eyeing the soft beige color) because they’re that good. I like how they’re slimming on the feet. These loafers are so comfortable and they didn’t rub at any of my usual pain points such as the back of the heel/ankles and across the top of the feet when my feet swell. I was able to wear them to work and while shopping and they did not require any break in period which is rare for me.
In contrast to the comfort of the Sam Edelman loafters, these Banana Republic suede loafers ran true to size for me but they will require a few more wears to break in similar to these slip-on sneakers (review here). I thought that they felt wide at first since it was chilly when I took the above photo. However, my feet swelled after walking around and which caused a lot of pressure across the top of my feet. The pressure from the swelling resulted in red marks at the big toe joint and the little toe joint but luckily they didn’t turn into blisters since I came home as soon as I could.
Theory Sileena Buffalo Plaid Jacket, size P (old favorite, review here) | Celine Pico Belt Bag | Ann Taylor High Rise Performance Stretch Skinny Jeans, size 25/0P (old favorites)
I just received this tote in both colors which are just as pictured online. You can see the woodsmoke color on me here and the black color on me here. The knit material is nice and stretchy but the lack of structure on the base of the bag sags a lot if you plan to put heavy things inside such as a laptop. I plan on returning both colors since the length of the single strap and the size is a bit awkward on me (I’m 5′ 2.5″).
Thanks for stopping by!
