I still love skinny jeans even though straight and wide leg jeans are trending so I was excited to find these jeggings in a petite friendly short inseam. They even have a narrow ankle opening but it’s stretchy so they’re easy to put on and take off over your ankles. The dark blue wash has a longer inseam than the black color but I’ll probably order the other two washes to compare. Hopefully the Free Assembly Walmart fashion brand will offer a petite friendly pair of white denim since the waistband of my current pairs of white and off white jeans feel very tight/constricting when I sit down.

Both pairs of jeans are very stretchy despite having a different fabric composition. They do not dig in at the waistband when you sit down which makes them very comfortable since I’ve been living in black leggings. The 9.75″ rise is more of a higher mid-rise than a true high-rise jean since the waistband just covers my belly button. Update: Someone asked me if these have a cheap jegging smell but the dye they used doesn’t have a strong smell and the dye did not rub off on my hands. I sniffed both pairs and the black wash has a very faint smell that should go away once I wash it.

The measurements of size 0 short in the blue wash are as follows: 9.75″ rise, 25″ stretchy waistband (stretches to about 29″ comfortably), 25.5″ inseam and 7.5″ stretchy ankle opening. The material is 78% cotton, 19% polyester and 3% elastane.

I also got these jeggings in the black wash as shown above. The measurements of size 0 short in the black color are as follows: 9.75″ rise, 25″ stretchy waistband (stretches to about 29″ comfortably), 24.5″ inseam and 7.5″ stretchy ankle opening. The material is 60% cotton, 37 polyester and 3% elastane. The black color attracts/shows lint and pet hair more easily which isn’t uncommon for black pants. I love these sticky lint rollers better than other branded versions and they last a long time for a pack of 3. I wore out the black pair twice for work and they did not stretch out nor sag in the butt or knees after a full day’s wear.

If you prefer a narrow ankle openings this $39 black mid-rise pair from Amazon also has a 7.5″ opening, slim pant legs and it has a 26″ inseam (as measured from size 24 short since m usual size 25 short was too loose). I had ordered a few washes to try but some of the blue washes have less stretch making the ankle opening difficult to put on/take off but the material in the black pair has more stretch.

If you’re looking for designer denim I previously ordered and reviewed a cropped pair of the FRAME 24 hour le high jeans in size 26 petite when they were part of an online sample sale for $100 (in November 2021). They have a lot of stretch so they do not dig in at the waist when I sit down so I was comfortable wearing them all day for work in the office. The ankle opening is 7.5″ but they’re easy to get on and off since they have 9% elastane. They’re very snug through the pant legs compared to other brands I’ve tried so the seam leaves an indentation on my legs when I take them off.
