I recently purchased this dress in stores at Sierra but I noticed it was also available at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls (now sold out online) so you can probably find the dress in stores. All three stores are part of TJX with Sierra carrying more activewear, outdoor clothing, shoes and accessories. The dress has functional pockets on the sides and it comes in white, light blue, peach and black but the color selection will vary across stores. Size S fits me well and the white color is not too sheer.
I recently ordered these white Freedom Moses sandals in white to replace my white Cushionaire Elane sandals from last year (review here). There’s nothing wrong with the pair from last year but I like how Freedom Moses looks a sleeker without the big buckles poking out on the sides. Size 7/8 fits me well as seen in this clip and I usually take size 7 in shoes. The length of size 7/8 shoe is 9.75″ end to end and my larger (right) foot is about 9.25″ long. The white color shows dirt easily but it’s easy to wipe off and keep clean. I was eyeing the sandals in peachy white or limon sands but I wasn’t sure how well they would match my wardrobe so I stuck with solid white to be safe.
I love this Marika waist fitness bag and I got it a few years ago at T.J. Maxx. It’s well made and shows no sign of wear even though I often carry it on my walks with Ralphie. I was surprised to see that the brand still carries it on their website. It holds my phone, keys and card wallet without being bulky.
I thought this half zip pullover looked really cute online so I ordered it to try. The jacket has a cropped length but I wanted something versatile that I could throw on. The cinch at the waist doesn’t stay put but I don’t mind the easy fit and the shorter length looks cute styled with my favorite skort. The material feels really nice and the wrinkles came out easily with a handheld steamer.
I loved this high waist skort so much I bought it in white, black (above) and navy. Today I noticed it in a blue and white gingham print here. I have size XS for the navy color but I like the drape of size S which I have in black and white. I forgot how much I love skorts since you don’t have to worry about windy days and bending over with the built-in shorts.
HeyNuts Essential 7/8 Leggings in denim blue, size XS | Eileen Fisher White Tee, size P (sold out/old favorite) | adidas Relaxed Fit Color Wash Adjustable Cap (I found the tie dye cap in stores at T.J. Maxx for $12.99) | New Balance Women’s Dynasoft Pesu V1 Running Shoe
I love these 7/8 leggings and I have them in the light blue color above and black. They are very buttery soft and flattering and the 25″ inseam is perfect for petites (I’m 5′ 2.5″). The material is not too thin so they don’t show panty lines as much as some other leggings.
c/o Amazon Essentials Women’s Classic-Fit 3/4 Sleeve Poplin Shirt, size XS | Kyodan High Wasit Flare Skort, size XS (similar here) | Polène Paris Tonca in textured chalk (review here)
I picked out this button down shirt as my gifted item this month. I have it in the shirt in white, the striped version and I also have it in this blue and white gingham print. Size XS fits me well for a relaxed oversized fit that looks good unbuttoned or buttoned.
c/o Amazon Essentials Women’s Classic-Fit 3/4 Sleeve Poplin Shirt in french blue stripe, size XS | Uniqlo Ribbed Sleeveless Cropped Top | Kyodan High Wasit Flare Skort, size S (similar here) | Polène Paris Tonca in textured chalk (review here)
Here is another way I styled the white skort. I took size M in the cropped ribbed top for a looser fit but I should have gone with size S since I realized size M is much too loose for my small chest.
I was looking for the perfect shirt to wear with my skorts and I came across this UPF 50+ golf shirt which has a flattering fit that nips in at the waist and a slight flare over the hips. The white color isn’t too sheer with a nude bra and it also comes in navy and black. Size XS is a comfortable body skimming fit on me.
OFFLINE By Aerie Crop Polo, size XS
I came across the new Aerie Offline store at the Natick Mall last month and they have the cutest activewear. This polo is now sold out online but they had plenty in store and it was available in other colors as well. Size XS was really loose and cropped so I passed but I loved how it looked with my navy skort.
This cropped top is junior sizing so I found that it runs very small/snug. Size L in the cropped white top was a loose but comfortable fit on me but I passed at the time since I wasn’t sure when it would go on sale. It’s currently 25% off.
I’ve been struggling with body image especially at my problem area which is the waistline now that I’m 39. If I’m really bloated my waist (measured around the belly button) can measure a bit more than 33 inches. I started jumping daily (as I shared in this old post) and with consistency my waist is slowly slimming down after a month. I went swimming on Sunday for 45 minutes and I was pleasantly surprised that my belly was less bloated by 1/2″ the following morning. I’ll have to try to take advantage of our building’s pool when the weather is nice. I purchased and tried on the white dress at the top of my post at the beginning of the month on June 4th as seen here but it was snug through the waist and hips. The same dress now fits looser in the mid section after a month of being more active and I felt more confident wearing it out today.
I have this week off and I haven’t taken any time off this year so I’ve been enjoying the relaxed pace and catching up on things that I’ve been putting off like sharing my favorite finds. I just binged on ‘The Queen’s Gambit‘ which was on my watch list since it came out in fall of 2020. Hopefully I’ll have a more productive rest of the week since I did not intend to watch an entire Netflix series even if it was only 7 episodes. I even scheduled a lash and eyebrow tint on Wednesday so I hope I’ll like the results.
Thanks for stopping by!
