Thanks to eBay for partnering on this post! When thinking about NYFW the street style of celebrities, fashion icons and established bloggers attending the designer shows immediately come to mind. So much of NYFW street style is over the top and trends are mixed and matched to make a statement. The attendees know that they’re going to get their photos taken so they might as well give us regular folks something to talk about. I personally gravitate towards the more refined dressers since I can depend on them to incorporate the latest trends albeit tastefully.
I wanted to highlight three wearable trends from NYFW that you can easily incorporate into your wardrobe this fall.
Menswear inspired pieces such as structured blazers are on trend and luckily they’re also very versatile for pulling together any look while adding a layer of polish. A well-fitting blazer should drape well and help you dress (and feel) like a boss (this blazer has boss lady written all over it).
Did you know that 81% of all merchandise on eBay is new and available with the “Buy It Now” option? I found this gorgeous Aritzia blazer new with tags for $99 which is less than half the original retail price of $220. The seller I purchased the jacket from had the “Make Offer” feature but I caved and used the “Buy It Now” feature since my impatience got the best of me and obviously I had this exact outfit in mind for this very post. Somehow knowing that there are other watchers out there stalking the same item makes me want an item even more especially if it was the only one currently available.

DARK FLORAL PRINTS
Pretty prints especially dark floral prints are another wearable trend this fall and I think you may have caught on that I gravitate towards “trends” that I feel will remain timeless. I scoured eBay and I found exactly what I was looking for in this silk Aritzia Sabine dress which was in excellent used condition. Since I love a good deal I was able to use the “Make Offer” feature to make a reasonable private offer and I got this dress for an even $50 (including the shipping fee) while the dress originally retailed for $165.

Box bags and mini bags are a fun trend this season and accessories specifically the right bag are an easy way to refresh your fall looks. I picked up this wicker straw box bag from Zara during the summer but the black color and bamboo top handle lends itself to being a bag that I can still reach for even though it’s now early fall. You can also find this bag on eBay since savvy sellers are known to buy and sell on trend pieces in case you don’t have that retailer nearby or in your country.

HOW I USE EBAY
Occasionally I link out to eBay for similar finds on my blog but they also happen to be one of my go-to places to snag hard to find pieces I missed out on or if I spot a cute past season item on someone I admire. To save time I save my searches and I receive email notifications (you can also get mobile push notifications) when new items are added that match a search term that I’m interested in. If you find a trustworthy seller that you would buy from again then you can also save them too. For example, I love and follow this seller my friend shared with me and I’m sure you know why if you’ve followed me for a hot second. If you follow a seller you’ll even receive emails when they add new items for sale so you don’t have to worry about missing out (as much).
Thanks for stopping by!
