This peplum top runs small and I have a small chest (34AA in petite bras) so the first button is gaping and needs fashion tape the fix the issue.
The shorts are nice and stretchy making them very comfortable.

I love this Wilfred cocoon coat by Aritzia and size XXS fit me well for a figure flattering fit. I love the heather white (light grey) color. I tried on camel which was selling out quickly in store but I didn’t love the color on me but the dim lighting in store wasn’t my favorite. If you sign up for emails you can get 10% off your first online purchase.
I stopped by Macys today to look for a winter coat but instead I found a few things that caught my eye. Style & Co. petites (how cute is this thermal peplum top which I fit in PS but I would prefer XSP) and Michael Kors petites (this cropped black leather moto jacket is very fitted and flattering in size P) seem to fit really well. This faux suede blazer by Charter Club drapes beautifully too (size P fit me well).
I also stopped by Banana Republic quickly to check out more of their jeans but I ended up spotting a few things worth noting. I fit this unstructured ponte blazer in size 0P but if I want to button it I probably need to try size 2P. The sleeves are a bit shorter on me than I prefer. This faux fur bomber jacket runs true to size and size XSP fit me well but again the sleeves were a bit shorter than I prefer. This faux fur snood was very nice but if you don’t like a snood then this faux fur stole from Macys is another well-made option. They also had a neutral colored teddy jacket but I forgot to take a picture of the tag. It was very oversized in XSPwhile the sleeves were 3/4 length on me.

LOFT Shawl Pocket Open Cardigan – I received size XXS petite in black today (review of apricot fizz in XXS petite here) and it’s 28.5″ total length while size S petite (review here) was 30″ total length. The sleeves of size XXS petite are 1″ shorter than the sleeves of size S petite. The sleeves are still loose fitting despite sizing down. I also noticed that the black cardigan runs longer than the camel color because size XXS petite of the black cardigan is 1″ longer in the overall length than size S petite of the camel cardigan.
LOFT Denim Leggings in Vivid Dark Indigo Wash – I took these jeans in size 27/4 petite (according to the size label sewn onto the inside of the jeans but the rectangular label on the outside was mislabeled 26/2 petite as seen here). I am usually size 25/0 petite in LOFT jeans. The measurements of size 26/2 petite are: 9″ rise, 29″ waist, 30″ hips, 24.5″ inseam, 9.5″ ankle opening. The material is 88% cotton, 9% polyester, 3% elastane. The inseam is shorter but it works for when I am wearing them with neutral booties so that the dye doesn’t transfer onto my shoes. You can see a side by side comparison next to the Banana Republic Skinny Zero Gravity Ankle Jean with Asymmetrical Fray Hem (review and measurements here) that I’ve been favoring here. Update 10/26: I will have to double check the sizing next visit in store. I wore the jeans yesterday and if I did purchase size 27/4 petite then they stretched out too much (the jeans have a lot of stretch) so I probably need to try size 26/2 petite on a pair that is correctly labeled.
LOFT Striped Split Back Mixed Media Sweater -This sweater didn’t come in petites so I ordered size XXS regular which was a longer length on me (measured from the high point on the shoulder it’s 25″ total length but the middle where the top is the longest is a few inches longer). It fits true to size and the sizing is similar to this ruffle back mixed media sweater from last year which was available in missy and petites (review here). Due to the longer length I prefer to wear this sweater with heels so that it makes my legs look longer. I’m currently still on the fence about keeping it and I need to try it with different shoes and bottoms.
LOFT Cowl Neck Tunic Sweater – I previously reviewed size XXS petite here and size XS petite here. Today I bought size XS petite in the crumb melange color since I prefer a relaxed fit. For some reason size XS petite in the crumb melange (tan) color isn’t as loose fitting as the same size in the charcoal (dark grey) color. Update 10/26: I ended up returning this sweater since I was steaming out the wrinkles and it became longer which threw off the fit. I hadn’t cut the tags off yet.
LOFT Tiered Peplum Top – I took this tee in size XXS regular after trying on size XS regular here. Size XXS regular is 23″ total length and a relaxed fit on me. This tee does not come in petites. The material has a good weight to it so it has a flattering drape. See size XXS regular on me here.
LOFT Hooded Pocket Open Cardigan – I took this cardigan in my usual size XS petite for a relaxed fit. Last year I took the grey speckled version in size XXS petite.
LOFT Ruffle Split Neck Blouse – My friend Su recommended this blouse. It doesn’t come in petites so I ordered size XXS regular. It has a longer overall length (measured from the high point on the shoulder it’s 25″ total length but the middle where the top is the longest is a few inches longer) on me since I’m petite. The shirt is a hi-lo hem so it’s longer in the back than the front. I decided to return it but it does look fine with a half tuck. It fits true to size if you typically take regular missy sizes at LOFT.
LOFT Mixed Stripe Utility Blouse – I took this blouse in size XXS regular and the sizing is just like the 2017 red and white version I reviewed here.
LOFT Striped Cowl Neck Top – This top fits just like the solid cowl neck tunic. I took this top in my usual size XS petite for a relaxed fit.
LOFT Chenille Blouson Open Cardigan – I ordered size XS petite but the sleeves were only 22″ long which is too short since I prefer 23-24″ sleeves. Otherwise this cardigan fit true to size through the shoulders and body. The sleeves weren’t too snug if you typically wear sleeveless tops. For layering purposes with long sleeves I will have to look out for size S petite or regular missy sizes to try on. The material is very soft and cozy.
LOFT Lacy Pointelle Sweater – I took this sweater in size S petite in the light grey color as seen here and reviewed here in the tan color. Size S petite has a 36″ bust (measured pit to pit), 34″ along the bottom hem, and 24″ total length.
LOFT Embroidered Striped Pajama Set – I ordered size XXS regular and the t-shirt has a looser fit (37″ chest and 25″ total length) while the matching pants have a short (26″) inseam which makes them petite friendly. The pants are actually slightly shorter than I prefer but they’re so cute I kept them. I like the embroidery on the t-shirt with the sleepy eyelashes. Refer to my flatlay of the pajamas here.
LOFT Elbow Patch Modern Blazer – I tried on size 00 petite which fit like size 0 petite. The petite sizing is a shorter, boxy fit. You can clearly see the difference in the overall length of the blazer in this picture.
LOFT Brushed Knit Blazer – I tried on size 0 petite which fits true to size for a relaxed fit similar to a boyfriend blazer. The material is stretchy and comfortable. For a more tailored fit I prefer the Ann Taylor Doubleface One Button Blazer I reviewed in this post.
LOFT Mixed Media Shoulder Button Sweatshirt – I ordered size XXS petite to try but the 3/4 length sleeves were a bit too snug on my forearms. Otherwise size XXS petite may also fit size XS petite. The top has a relaxed fit. I’m not a fan of the gold button detail and I prefer the prior year’s version.
LOFT Brushed Plaid Scarf – I was curious about this scarf but upon receiving it I found it to be too thick. The material reminds me of housing insulation.
Ann Taylor Camp Shirt – I took this blouse in size XXS petite which fits like size XSP. The overall length is very long and tunic length. I reviewed the navy color in size XS petite here and I have the sold out leopard version in size XXS petite (last featured here).
Ann Taylor Shawl Wrap Coat – I tried on size XS petite which is my usual size and the coat fits true to size. The shawl covers your shoulders and your neck is exposed but the coat has a very chic effect. The material looks very expensive and the coat is well made. The material is lined and it’s substantial making it a warmer coat.
Ann Taylor Leopard Print Haircalf Skinny Belt – I fit this belt on the last hole in size XS. I typically take size 25/0 petite in LOFT and Ann Taylor pants and jeans. It’s a very skinny belt and when I compared lengths it’s the same length as this medium leather trouser belt which is double in width.
J.Crew Factory Ruffle Front Top in Clip Dot – I took this top in size XXS which I reviewed in navy here. The grey color looks more like a light seafoam green color in natural lighting.
